We’ll Never Be Royals

London Day 3:

Day 3 was all about sightseeing. We started bright and early at the Changing of the Guard. It was insanely crowded and we ended up leaving a little bit early since it was so hard to see anything (and people are rude). We then went to the Royal Muse to look at all the Queen’s Carriages. Of course, I had to ask which one Kate and Will rode in, but they didn’t have it. However, they did have the one Harry and Pippa rode in, so that sufficed (pictured below). From there we went to Selfridges to shop and get some nosh (there’s my British Slang). They had the coolest roof-top terrace for lunch and it was quite delicious. From lunch, dad and I said our goodbyes to mom as she had a business call, so we went where anyone else in London would… Parliament. We also explored the London Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and then had a lovely (and HOT) walk back towards Buckingham Palace and eventually to our hotel. We ended this fun day at Tom’s Kitchen, where mom and I had once read Kate and Will ate, so obviously we had to too. They have some of the best fish & chips, I highly recommend it!

This past Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to go to the Rebecca Taylor show, and meet her, as well as see the  Monique Lhuillier show. They were both AMAZING! Seriously! And so different from one another. Both shows were on the same day, but in different locations. Rebecca Taylor was in the Meatpacking District and her “runway” was like a maze through the audience, which allowed you to see the outfits multiple times and from different angles. Monique Lhuillier was at Lincoln Center, which was set up differently this year, but her collection was gorgeous. I decided to wear a Rebecca Taylor shirt of mine, in honor of her show, with a comfy skirt that I was able to layer tights under (it was super cold). I loved adding a pink necklace, and although you can’t see them, my shoes from J.Crew matched!

An Edgy Black & White Affair

T by Alexander Wang Shirt (old, Similar Here), Show Me Your Mumu Skirt, Ecru Jacket (old, Similar Here and Here), Vince Camuto Boots, C. Wonder Chain Necklace (old, Similar Here and Here), J. Crew Triangle Necklace (old, Similar Here and Here and kind of HereJ. Crew Bracelet, Gucci Purse

I’m not they type of girl who loves to wear a lot of bright colors, I would prefer to stick to black and white. I have this skirt in many different prints and it is by far one of my favorites. It can go with almost anything and you can dress it up or down too. The Vince Camuto boots are my favorite too — I literally wear them all the time. This has become one of my go-to outfits since it’s easy to throw on, comfy, and looks pretty cute, if I may say so myself 🙂
